Club Hotel Casino Loutraki
This casino is located in Loutraki, near to Korinthos about 70 km far from Athens. It started in 1995; it is open 24 hours the day and is one of the biggest casinos in Europe. The casino features more than 600 slots and 70 table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Punto Banco, Baccarat, etc.In 2002 the hotel belonging to the casino opened its doors. In both, casino and hotel, there are approximately 1200 employees. In order to manage the employee working hours, overtime, absences etc. SIRIO was designated to install a modern and reliable Time Attendance system. We supplied also the casino member ship cards.
Equipment & Functionality
At the staff entrance 2 Time Attendance terminals with keyboard and LCD display are installed. The incoming employees use the first one, the second one by the outgoing employees. The employees are using magnetic cards, which are placed in cardholders fixed on the wall. The two terminals are power supplied by external 12VDC power supply units.
Each unit has its own battery in the case of a power loss. The cabling runs from the first terminal to the second one and from there to the computer room in the first floor. The distance of more than 40 m between the terminals and the connected PC is covered by a specific unit (converter), which generally allows distances up to 1200m. In order to be compliant with Y2K, SIRIO has upgraded the hardware and the software. Due to the big number of employees, a professional database (IBM DB2) was installed on the Windows NT server. The ‘Visual Time’ applications as well as the DB2 cient application have been also installed on further 4 networked (TCP/IP) PCs allowing simultaneous work to the users.
In the system are defined all the employee data as well as their working plans for the day, week, month and year. Furthermore, absence reasons, rules for overtime and payment, breaks, shifts, holidays etc. are defined in the system. There are several users for which different user profiles are defined in the software in order to give them specific access rights to the database. Up to 4 users can have simultaneous access to the data.
The system also allows the display and printout of reports. Many reports are pre-defined in the system, but the users can create their own reports. The correction of data is also possible in the system. The user can delete, add or change bookings and other data. After that, the system recalculates the database tables and the user gets always the actual data. The system is always online. If there are communication problems, the terminals can work in off-line mode, which means that they can store up to 2000 bookings in their memory and they send them to the server PC when the problems disappear.

The continuous increase of new arriving members has as a consequence the continuous demand of cards that amount up to 100,000 cards in a year, five years running, furthermore besides supplying the cards, we have been assigned their coding as well.
